The Haiti mission, feeding children and standing with local churches

Some of the most important work the Alliance is part of does not happen on a stage. It happens in Haiti, in classrooms and church yards and around shared meals, carried out by people who show up year after year.

Through Chief Apostle Dr. Sandra Mitchell and the wider Daystar family, the Alliance stands with an ongoing mission there. The work is plain and consistent: feed children, support local schools and churches, and provide apostolic covering to pastors and an orphanage in communities that too often go unseen.

Why Haiti

Haiti has known more than its share of hardship. What it has never lacked is people worth standing with. The mission is not a single trip or a one-time delivery. It is a relationship, built the way trust is always built, in the ordinary hours, through faces that become familiar.

That is why the work centers on the local church and the local school. Feeding a child meets an immediate need. Strengthening the church and the school that child belongs to changes what is possible for a whole community.

What the work looks like

• Food for children, given with dignity and no questions asked.
• Support for local schools, so learning is not interrupted by hunger or lack.
• Covering for pastors and churches, standing with the leaders already serving on the ground.
• Care for an orphanage, for children who need a family to belong to.
